I would love to find a book that specifically relates to my great grandfather's part of the battle of Gettysburg. He was discharged at or near Alexandria, Va on June 5, 1865, according to a letter from the Department of the Interior dated June 10, 1889. He is listed as a sergeant as well as a 2nd lieutenant depending on where you look.

Military information from 'Regimental History, 125th New York State Volunteers,' by Chaplain Ezra D. Simons, 1888.  Republished, 1998, Higginson Book Company, Salem, Mass.
